Hi, I'm Ali, the founder and instructor here at Test My Drive. My goal is pretty simple: I want to help you become a safe, confident, and independent driver. I know getting behind the wheel for the first time can be a bit stressful, so I keep my lessons calm and patient. No pressure. Just a supportive environment where you can learn at your own pace.

I work with everyone from absolute beginners to international drivers getting used to Australian roads and rules. For me it's not just about helping you pass the test. It's about making sure you're actually ready to drive safely for the rest of your life.

Everything you need to know before booking.

It depends on the individual. In Queensland, learner drivers must complete a minimum of 100 logged hours before sitting their practical test. Most students benefit from a mix of private practice with family and professional lessons with an instructor. We'll give you an honest assessment after your first lesson on what we think you'll need.
We cover Logan Central and surrounding suburbs including Marsden, Loganlea, Meadowbrook, Kingston, Waterford, Crestmead, Beenleigh, Browns Plains, Springwood, Sunnybank, Runcorn, Moorooka, Salisbury, Calamvale and more. Not sure if we cover your area? Just get in touch and we will let you know.
All lessons are in an automatic vehicle. This means you will be eligible for an automatic licence on passing your test. If you specifically need manual, get in touch and we can discuss options.
Bring your current Queensland learner licence. You must have it on you to legally drive on public roads. Wear comfortable, flat shoes. Your logbook is also useful so we can sign off your hours after each session.
Payment is required before your lesson to secure your booking. Your instructor will be in touch after you enquire to confirm your time and arrange payment. We will confirm all pricing before your first lesson so there are no surprises.
We ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a fee. We understand things come up so just let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to work with you.
Yes. We offer two test day packages that include car hire for your practical test. The Car Test Pack Standard ($210) includes a 45 minute lesson before your test, car hire, and pickup and drop off on weekdays. The Car Test Pack Advanced ($295) includes a 105 minute lesson before your test, car hire, and pickup and drop off on weekdays. Get in touch to book either package.
Completely normal and very common, especially for adult learners. We take a calm, patient approach and never rush. We go at whatever pace makes you comfortable and build confidence gradually. Many of our students started very nervous and passed with flying colours.
